Repertoire

The Estonian National Male Choir is a classical TTBB male choir. The Choir’s core repertoire includes all major symphonic and oratorial works written for male choir and symphony orchestra, as well as works for large oratorial choir and symphony orchestra. A prominent place in the programming is held by the works of Veljo Tormis alongside with European classical male choir repertoire featuring instrumental and/or vocal soloists.

Focused on expanding the classical male choir repertoire, the ENMC has commissioned and performed arrangements from Renaissance polychoral works to premieres of new works by living composers.

Occasionally, the Estonian National Male Choir also ventures into lighter genres, presenting crossover programmes for wider audiences in collaboration with Estonian folk and pop artists. Likewise, educational activities for younger generation are a substantial part of today’s Estonian National Male Choir.
